The Stringtones
Paul and André bring an uplifting experience as their music tells a captivating story through spontaneous improvisation, the timbre of the acoustic guitar, and beautiful, soulfully played melodies of some of the most famous tunes in Pop, Jazz, and World Music.
Having met in 2016 in Nelson BC when they were both guitar instructors at Selkirk Music College, Paul and André discovered they have a shared passion for South American Folklore, Jazz, and Pop Classics. It didn’t take long before they started playing their so beloved music together. Wonderful -and sometimes daring- arrangements emerged from hours of playing and exploration, blending different styles and techniques, all to better tell their story.
With a fiery touch of flamenco, the mesmerising harmonies from Bossa Nova, and at times virtuoso improvisation, their music will surely move and surprise you!
Fredric Chopin couldn’t be more right when he said: “Nothing is more beautiful than a guitar, save perhaps two”.
